Welcome to the McIntosh County Treasurer's Office!

Important dates to remember with respect to ad valorem taxes are: At least the first half of each year's ad valorem tax must be paid by the Oklahoma Statutory date of December 31. If the first half is paid by December 31, the second half must be paid no later than March 31 of the given year. Failure to pay at least one-half by December 31 will result in interest charges of 1.5% beginning on January 1 of the given year and continuing each month until the entire amount is paid. No second-half payments are permitted unless the first half is paid by December 31. The filing for homestead exemption and any other exemption for ad valorem tax is filed with the County Assessor.

Tax payments may be made by mail, in office, drop box South side of Courthouse, on line with credit card or echeck.  Any payment must be in our office by the due date to avoid penalty charges.

All delinquent taxes must be paid at the same time

TREASURER INFO

ASSESSMENT VALUE NOTIFICATION

The McIntosh County Assessor determines property values and provides notification of valuations.  If you have any questions concerning your assessment, please contact the County Assessor’s Office at 918-689-2611.  Please report all changes of address to the County Assessor to prevent delay in tax statements being delivered.  The Assessor's website is ACTDATASCOUT.COM this site is very helpful and contains information on location and values of property.

NEW OWNERSHIP

If you are a new owner of property, you should contact the County Assessor’s office with the correct address to send the statement before September 30.  As they will certify the accounts to our office soon after that.

MORTGAGES

If your mortgage company is responsible for payment of your real estate taxes, as soon as we receive payment and post your account, it will immediately reflect paid on our web site.  Most mortgage companies use a third party tax service company.  This means your mortgage company remits payment to the tax service company who in turn submits payment to us for all mortgage companies they service.  If your tax does not show paid and your mortgage company states they remitted payment for your taxes most likely the payment went to a tax service.  If you have a delinquent personal lien on your property, your mortgage company payment will be denied until the lien is satisfied.

INTEREST

Failure to receive a statement is not a legal reason for waiving interest.  The Treasurer must assess interest on all delinquent payments at a rate of 18% per year, added monthly on the 15th day of each month, at a rate of 1.5%.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Your property taxes may be paid in full or in two installments (for balances over $25.00)

The one half or the full amount must be paid by December 31st.  If nothing is paid by December 31st, then the full amount becomes delinquent January 1st and interest is added.  We cannot accept first half payment after the December 31st due date.  If you choose to pay the first half payment on December 31st, then the last half becomes due on March 31st.  We do not send second half notices.

Notice

While the Treasurer's office makes every effort to ensure the correctness of this website, any error contained herein does not constitute a waiver of any tax amounts by or for the County Treasurer's office or the Taxpayer.
